Overview
Seller Hub is Best Buy Marketplace’s centralized platform for vendors to manage onboarding, operations, and performance. Built from the ground up to support Marketplace launch, it unified core workflows, tools, and personalized data into a single entry point. As a 0 → 1 product, establishing clear navigation, hierarchy, and prioritization was essential to creating a scalable foundation that could support vendors from initial onboarding through long-term growth.
My Role
I helped define the platform’s structural foundation, shaping the homepage layout, navigation model, and prioritized entry points that guided vendor workflows. Working closely with Product, Engineering, UX Research, and Design Systems, I ensured these decisions aligned with both vendor needs and launch timelines. This collaboration established a clear framework that could support Marketplace launch while remaining flexible enough to evolve over time.
Problem
Before Seller Hub, vendors relied on multiple disconnected tools to manage their Marketplace presence, making it difficult to understand priorities or determine next steps. The lack of a centralized experience increased cognitive load and slowed workflows, particularly for vendors onboarding to a new ecosystem. Without a clear structural foundation, the Marketplace risked launching with an experience that would be difficult for vendors to navigate and for internal teams to scale.
Solution
To address this, I helped design a structured homepage that oriented vendors quickly and guided them toward meaningful actions. Navigation and information architecture were organized around vendor priorities, ensuring the platform reflected how vendors worked rather than internal system boundaries. By establishing clear entry points, embedding support resources, and aligning patterns with Best Buy’s design system, the platform created a cohesive and scalable experience from day one.
Results
Seller Hub provided vendors with a centralized place to access tools, manage workflows, and understand what actions to take next. Vendors could navigate the platform more confidently, reducing friction and improving efficiency during onboarding and ongoing operations. The structured foundation also enabled teams to introduce new functionality without fragmenting the experience, supporting continued growth beyond launch.
Impact
Seller Hub established the structural foundation for Best Buy Marketplace and enabled vendors to operate more independently. Clear navigation and prioritization reduced ambiguity while improving efficiency and confidence across vendor workflows. Internally, the scalable architecture reduced rework and allowed teams to expand the platform more efficiently, supporting a successful launch and long-term Marketplace growth.
